She is doing wonderful and is an amazing addition to the family. Last night Ryan and I were blessed with a new nephew. Rowdy Douglass Butler, he weighed 5lbs, 15oz, he was born 4 weeks early but is doing well and was not sent to the NICU. Cassee is doing good too. Me and Ry are excited to get to spoil a two more kids rotten !!! I also got a new job, I will be working over in same day surgery at McKay. I'll stay on the surgical floor as well. I'm excited. Change is good. Life is good. Hope everyone out there in cyberspace is as happy as I am. Oh, and if you're planning on spending anytime in the recovery room I'll see ya there. Peace out :)

Sweet Love

There is nothing sweeter than being in love! Everything seems to be falling in place for me and Ry. I found my dress! I'm not posting details, Ryan can't know a thing. If you want to see it , guess you'll just have to come to the wedding :)! We found HOUSE! It's teeny, tiny, but I've never been more excited for anything in my life. It's in Plain City, and its adorable. I'm already excited to plant flowers and trying my hand at gardening. It's ours starting March 1st. Ryan and I had the best Valentines yet. Seeing as how we are about to enter the real world, we didn't want to spend too much. So I decided we would stay in, and I surprised him with a candle lit dinner. It was great. I love to cook! I set it all up in a spare bedroom, with candles and music, the whole shebang. When he got to my house, he came in the kitchen with a dozen beautiful roses. I turned to him and apologized for not having something more special for him. Then as the food got done I asked him to go out to the car and grab my camera. When he went outside I shifted gears and hustled all the food up to our little make believe get away. I had the music playing softly, and all the lights off, except for the candles burning. When he came back in I took him by the hand and led him to our table. It was so romantic, just me and him . No back ground noise, or waiting to be seated, it was perfect. Then we finished the night visiting with Mandy and Nick and stuffing our faces with cookies and ice cream. Life is so good! Oh and we set a date. June 26, 2009. Don't miss it!

I'm ENGAGED!!!!

Well after a really challenging year I finally have some good news. Ryan finally purposed!! It was so perfect. Ryan sent one of his rope horses down to Arizona to sell and I kept teasing him about what he was going to do with the money, so he never told me when he sold him. On Saturday we were down on his property having a trap shoot for his birthday, we invited all the people we love the most. My family was there and so was his. I was standing by the fire and he came and put his arms around me. He started almost whispering to me, he asked me what I thought would make the day more perfect. I just said I don't know, he kept trying to get me to guess. That's when I noticed the circle of people around us. Here's where it starts to get fuzzy. I looked around at everyone staring and then back at Ryan. He said, "I sold Boozer," (that's the horse). That's when it clicked. I felt like everything was in slow motion. Everyone was ewing and awing as I saw Ryan pull a little white box out of his pocket. Then he's down on one knee and I heard "Will you marry me?" as clear as day. I was so excited I said yes about one hundred times and almost pushed Ryan into the fire when I was hugging him.My brother in law got it all on film. Then about one minuted after, I said, "Wait a sec, did you ask my dad?" (He had asked my dad about ten minutes before). It was amazing. Ryan knows me so well. It was perfect, I had just promised myself to someone for the rest of time, and all the people I love were right there with me, waiting to celebrate. I told my mom I'd always wondered what it would feel like, and I never thought it would feel so good. I love you Ry, forever and ever babe. Sorry the ring pic is fuzzy.

An Ode To Jake

This is an Ode to Jake, The best horse I've ever had. My heart is breaking with sorrow. You were many things to me, but most of all you were a teacher. You taught me trust and patience, responsibility and respect, hard work and unconditional love. You were patient with me when I learned to rope, and you took me to my first Rodeo. You were my pal and on snowy days I wished I could bring you in the house with me. Thank you for all you gave to me, thank you for giving your heart to Rodeo. I'm sorry we had to lose you like this. I wish I could have done something more for you. I love you Jake.
